College golf returned to The Dunes Golf & Beach Club this week, and the Michael A. Marino Classic once again proved why it’s one of the premier spring events on the collegiate calendar.

A Myrtle Beach golf trip isn’t just about the rounds you play. Sometimes the most memorable moments happen before the first tee shot or after the final putt — sitting in the clubhouse with a great meal and reliving the day.

Every year, thousands of golfers make the trip to Myrtle Beach for one of the most unique experiences in the game: the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship.

With 3,000 participants playing across dozens of Myrtle Beach’s best courses, the World Am is the largest amateur golf tournament in the world. But ask anyone who has played in it, and they’ll tell you the same thing: It’s about more than golf.

With more than 80 golf courses along the Grand Strand, narrowing down a list of favorite holes is almost impossible. Every layout in Myrtle Beach seems to have at least one moment where you step onto the tee and think, this is why I love playing here.

Golfers from around the world will soon have their chance to secure a spot in the 43rd Annual Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship, as registration officially opens March 18.

For three days in early March, some of the best junior golfers in the world gathered along the South Carolina coast for the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship, showcasing elite talent and world-class competition at TPC Myrtle Beach.

One of Myrtle Beach’s most recognizable golf courses has entered a new era. King’s North at Myrtle Beach National has officially reopened following a comprehensive redesign that unfolded over more than two years, bringing thoughtful updates to the Arnold Palmer classic while preserving the spirit that made it famous.

For thousands of players each year, the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship is more than a competition.
